Operations Manager
Keyport LLC
About Keyport: Keyport has been delivering the world’s finest wild-caught seafood since 1997. Our premium Alaska King, Snow, and Dungeness crab are sourced through responsible fishing practices and available at top-tier restaurants and retailers across the country. As a family owned business built on five generations of expertise, deep supplier relationships, and an uncompromising commitment to quality, we’ve built something rare in the industry—and we’re just getting started.
About the Role: We’re looking for an Operations Manager to own the day-to-day production engine that keeps Keyport’s product moving from cold storage to customers. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives at the intersection of production, inventory, purchasing, and cross-functional coordination. You’ll work closely with our Sales, Warehouse, and Logistics teams, manage supplier relationships, and have real ownership over efficiency, accuracy, and throughput. If you like solving operational puzzles and seeing the direct impact of your work, you’ll fit right in.
What You’ll Do:
- Plan, lead, and oversee daily production operations at our cold storage facilities, hitting efficiency, quality, and throughput targets
- Process production transactions in our ERP system, keep inventory movements, yields, and finished goods accurately tracked
- Partner with our Sales team to align production schedules with customer demand, forecasts, and order priorities
- Manage purchasing of packaging materials and production supplies to keep operations running without interruption
- Build strong supplier and vendor relationships—negotiating pricing, lead times, and service levels
- Monitor inventory across raw materials, packaging, and finished goods, coordinating closely with Warehouse and Logistics
- Identify and roll out process improvements that drive efficiency and reduce cost
- Lead monthly inventory and reconciliation, investigate discrepancies (including GL vs. inventory posting issues), and corrective actions in place
- Coordinate inbound shipments with cold storage partners, including advance load notices and delivery timing
- Issue purchase orders and oversee the receiving process, ensuring physical goods and system records stay aligned
What We’re Looking For:
- 3 – 5 years of operations management experience, ideally in seafood, meat, food processing, or another cold-chain environment
- Strong ERP experience—comfortable processing production transactions and troubleshooting inventory issues
- Track record of managing inventory accuracy and leading reconciliation processes
- Proven supplier and vendor management skills, including negotiation
- Sharp analytical instincts; you’re at home in spreadsheets and ERP reports
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach with Sales, Warehouse, and Logistics
- Driven by a need for continuous improvement—you spot inefficiencies and fix them
Compensation & Benefits
- $95,000 – $110,000 salary, plus bonus
- 401(k) with company matching
- Health, dental, and vision insurance
- Family-owned company with five generations of seafood expertise and a long-term outlook
- High-impact role with real ownership and visibility across the business
This is a full-time, onsite role at our Edmonds, WA office.
